HARRIS Alexander (Alec) Dublin - July 31, 2013 in the wonderful care of the exceptional staff of The Hermitage Medical Clinic, late of A.G.S. Beloved husband of the late Bridget and loving father of Miriam (Bourke), Ann (Langley) and Gerry. Devoted grandfather to Jenny, Ciara, David, Stephen, Paul, Bryan and Susie and great-grandson Alex. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Anne, sons-in-law Allan and Oran, nephews, niece, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. THORNBURY Katherine (Ka, Kathy) - (Cratloe, Co. Clare and Amsterdam) Aged 49. Died peacefully at home, July 28, 2013, Amsterdam. Beloved daughter of Mary and the late Art Thornbury, wife of Paul Fitzpatrick, sister of Niamh, Ivan and Karlo, and proprietor and landlady of Dan Murphy's Bar on the Leidseplein, Amsterdam. Katherine was much loved by her heartbroken family and friends and will be sadly missed by her mother; husband; sister and brothers and their partners Michael, Lorraine and Annegien; nieces and nephews, Dylan, Evie, Art and Louise; godmother Una Loftus and other aunts, uncles and cousins; Paul's sons Ben and Joshua; her many loyal friends and by the staff and regulars of Dan's. Cremation will take place in Amsterdam at the Westgaarde Crematorium tomorrow (Friday) at 1.45 pm. CASSIDY Dermot Sean, (Pretoria, South Africa and formerly of Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, Oxford, Abbeyshrule Co. Longford and Zambia) - July 22, 2013, suddenly in South Africa. Dermot, beloved husband of Frankie Alessio, adored and adoring father to Penn Sumner, cherished son of Helen (née Mulhern) and the late Martin Aloysius and dear brother of Siobhan, Finton, Conor and Oonagh. Deeply regretted by his loving family, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Dermot travelled extensively to some of the most inaccessible areas of the world working on numerous projects addressing hunger. Dermot's funeral will take place in South Africa with a service of remembrance taking place in the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, Confey, Leixlip, Ireland at a later date.
