BROWN, David Arthur, PhD, DSc, RSC (Rathfarnham, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry, UCD and Member of the Royal Irish Academy) - September 27, 2014, peacefully after a short illness, and in the care of the doctors and nurses of the Blackrock Clinic; deeply mourned by his loving wife Rita and by his beloved family, Geraldine, Paul, Suzanne, Rory, Elizabeth and Catherine, and by his eight grandchildren in Ireland, the UK and USA and his extended family. He will be greatly missed by his friends, former colleagues and students in Ireland and internationally who held him in such high regard. Funeral service tomorrow, Tuesday at 11am in Rathfarnham Parish Church, followed by private cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. House private. No flowers please.
