Acknowledgement : O'FARRELL, Oliver
O'FARRELL (Oliver) On Oliver's First Anniversary (July 12, 2013) - His wife Marie, his daughters Fiona and Sinéad and his son Fergal, wish to thank everyone who offered us support during his illness and sympathy when he died. We appreciated so much the kindness of family and friends, RTÉ colleagues, Labour Party comrades and GAA members. We were really grateful to the large number of people who came to our home for his wake and attended his funeral. It was a genuine comfort to receive so many cards and letters sharing memories and amusing stories of him with us, thank you for taking the time to write. He'd be delighted to be talked about by so many people - especially as one of his favourite quotes was "there is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about"! It is wonderful to know that Oliver was held in such affection by so many. Please accept this Acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt thanks. Go raibh maith agaibh.
