MacCANA Alasdar (Ex captain of the Irish Army) (Oughterard and formerly of Spiddal, Co. Galway) - February 1, 2010 (peacefully) at home in his 102nd year in the loving care of his family. Beloved husband of the late Magdalen and adored father of Liam, Philip, Maureen, Eithne, Finian, Padraig, Ciaran and the late Barbara. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Requiescat in pace. Reposing at his today Saturday from 12 o'clock Removal at 6 o'c to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Oughterard. Requiem Mass tomorrow Sunday at 1 o'c with burial afterwards in Coilleach Cemetery, An Spideal. Family flowers only, donations if desired to St. Vincent de Paul."Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis"
